After graduating from Southampton University in Psychology and Sociology, I joined the Metropolitan Police. I then joined the specialist Burglary Prevention Unit and Safer Communities Project.

Both projects involved community consultations and providing clear burglary prevention advice. Figures over a 2 year period demonstrated a notable drop in actual Burglaries in the specific locations I consulted.

On leaving the police I worked as a security consultant to The Royal Bank of Scotland, Kew Gardens and Imperial College London, where I provided burglary prevention advice and generalised crime prevention advice which according to all 3 organisations saw a significant decrease in burglaries and criminal activities on site.
