Welcome to my budget home page. I bought the domain name (nickthecoder.co.uk) for a very reasonable two quid a year (plus vat).
Q - That's cheap - what's the catch?
A - I get no e-mail addresses and no web space.
Q - How can I see this web page then?
A - This web page doesn't live at nickthecoder.co.uk
it really lives here. I'm squatting in
someone else's web space (I hope they don't mind). nickthecoder.co.uk
merely redirects browsers to the real web site.
Q - What about bookmarks?
A - If you use
http://nickthecoder.co.uk
then you will only be able to bookmark the first page. If you do want to
bookmark a page, then you will have to go
directly to my web site., bypassing
nickthecoder.co.uk completely.
Q - So why use http://nickthecoder.co.uk? Why not always go
directly to the web site?
A - This is a stop gap measure only. Later I will get a static IP
address, and host my own web sites.
